The film was created in collaboration, and came out of an improvisational performance last October with the ensemble. It is an abstract narrative, originally thought of as an elegy for my father, whose ashes we scattered at sea a short while after the Deepwater Horizon disaster. The process came to include a mourning for the Gulf as well.
